Usborne Books & More: Our Favorite Series

I fell in love with Usborne Books & More a few years ago. When my oldest was turning 3, we were unable to host a traditional birthday party due to Covid quarantines. Instead, I hosted an Usborne book party on Facebook through a friend who had just become a consultant. It was so fun because as my friends purchased books for their own family, we earned credit to purchase books for Mills’ birthday. I also created a wish list, so some friends also bought books to send to Mills as a birthday gift! We added dozens of books to our home library that year!

While there are a handful of picture books we have fallen in love with, I personally love so many different series within the Usborne collection. Below, I’ve listed many of our favorite series starting with books for babies and moving into books more suitable for preschoolers. Along the way, I’ll mention the age range for each series. Let’s get started!

That’s Not My

This series is perfect for babies. The books are touch and feel and contain repetitive text and bright illustrations. There are over 40 books in this series!

Mirror, Mirror

My boys love these precious books! The mirror creates an engaging storytime with babies and toddlers!

Don’t Tickle the Animals!

This touch and sound series is perfect for babies 6 months and older. I’ve linked four options below, but you can also find more versions (hippo, lion, monkey, pig, etc) on Usborne’s website by searching “Don’t Tickle”.

Baby’s Very First Rolling Books

I just added this series to my personal Usborne wish list. These books are only $8.99 and would make a perfect gift for a child’s first birthday!

Baby’s Very First Noisy Book

We love these books, especially the nursery rhymes option. These would also make a great gift for a baby’s first birthday!

Little Lift and Look

We own several of the peek inside & lift the flap books, but this is a new to me series. The larger flaps and peek-throughs make this a perfect series for children 1 and older. Think of it as a “my first lift the flap” series!

Reusable Sticker Books

If you’ve ever heard of Usborne, you’ve heard about these books. The reusable sticker books are a crowd favorite. We adore them! The stickers make the story so engaging, and the text is repetitive. These books are just a win all the way around! Grab a book or 2 for your favorite child 2 years and older.

Press-a-Sound

This series is another favorite in our home. With sound buttons on every page, my children patiently listen to the story, waiting on their turn to press the magical button. The illustrations are beautiful, the text is educational, and the sounds bring all the fun! I think this series is perfect for children 2 and older.

Fingertrail

Perfect for little ones who are learning to recognize and write numbers, uppercase letters, and lowercase letters.

Peek Inside

This series is perfect for children 3 years and older. The illustrations are beautiful, the text is educational, and the flaps make the content very engaging. Of course these books can be perfect at bedtime, but I love pulling them out when the boys are eating an afternoon snack. We usually have a bit more time to spend to discuss the text and learn more about the topics in the books!

Pop-Up

Pop-up books are FUN and that’s a fact. The Three Little Pigs book is a favorite in our home & I added the Space book to our wish list. For $14.99, I think these make a cute gift for kids 3 years and older.

Lift-the-Flap: First Questions and Answers

Similar to the peek inside series, these books are wonderful non-fiction texts. From character development to science topics, this series is perfect for children 4 years and older.

Picture Books

Where Happiness Lives is easily one of my favorite Usborne books. I’ve mentioned gift ideas along the way, but this one would be really sweet to give a child for their 4th or 5th birthday. It teaches such a sweet lesson and is filled with beautiful illustrations. I’ve also linked a few other picture books we own and love!

Activity Books

Usborne also has some fun activities for kids! We own and have gifted the activities linked below, and I highly recommend each of them.

While I’ve shared some of our favorite titles and series, Usborne has so many more fabulous options! I love to preview Usborne books on YouTube. Simply type in the name of the book and you can learn more about different series and view books in their entirety!

Happy reading, friends!
