Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 11-20

All of my resources are inspired by my own toddler. They have each been carefully created to capture his attention, develop a love for learning, and to keep learning simple and fun! As he began to show an interest in numbers, I created the Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 0-10. My child loved this resource. He was inspired to learn, felt proud of his accomplishments, and mastered the skills. To keep the learning going, I created my Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 11-20. It was a seamless way to continue his understanding of numbers. My toddler was almost 3 when we began using this resource; however, it is appropriate for children up to age 6.

Set Up

Before I walk you through the resource, let me mention a few things about set-up.

Let's start with printing. I own a color laser printer, so I print from home. If you don't own a printer, I think it's a great investment! However, always do what is best for your family! If you are looking for a reasonable printing company, I recommend The Homeschool Printing Company. I have yet to find a company with better pricing!

I chose to laminate most of the pages in this resource. I adore laminated pages because they are sturdy and essentially toddler-proof. If you want your pages to be laminated, I would recommend purchasing a personal laminator and laminating pouches. I do NOT recommend paying a company to laminate this resource because it is typically extremely expensive. However, if you decide to not laminate the resource, I'll give some tips and tricks as we chat through the resource!

If you head over to my Instagram highlights (@francieoutlaw) you can view the highlights titled "Setting Up a Resource" & "Laminating" for more information about set-up.

Supply List

Here is a list of the supplies I needed to set up my child's Toddler Number Resource. Your supply list may vary!

About the Resource

Numbers 11-20

In the first section of this resource, your child will learn to recognize numbers 11-20. I chose to laminate these pages to keep them durable. While we mostly used these pages as posters on our refrigerator, your child can also use them to practice writing the numbers and counting. The goal is for your child to learn to recognize and name numbers 11-20.

Number Activities

This section of the resource contains 43 pages of activities for your toddler to practice 1-1 correspondence and number recognition. We love using dot stickers, dot markers, dry erase pouches, dry erase markers, crayons, counters, etc. as we learn using these activities. Here’s a peek into our learning:

Number Matching

This section contains 5 matching pages. One has the numbers 11-20 in order, and another has the numbers 11-20 out of order. There are 2 picture matching pages and 1 ten-frame matching pages. I highly recommend laminating these pages and using velcro to secure the matching pieces.

Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 11-20 Skills

At the end of this resource, I have included a check-list of skills. This check-list is helpful in recognizing what my toddler already knows and planning the skills we can focus on next. However, my greatest desire is for your learning with your toddler to be fun! So, don’t take this check-list too seriously. Simply use it as a guide! Always remember, it’s not about the skills. It’s about these moments of connecting with your child through playful learning!

I hope you and your toddler enjoy this resource as much as we do! I would love for you to rate it on Teachers Pay Teachers! Feel free to send me a DM through Instagram @francieoutlaw or an email to heyfrancieoutlaw@gmail.com if you have any questions. Happy teaching and happy learning!
