Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 0-10
My toddler had recently turned 2 when he started showing interest in numbers. He was suddenly counting to 10 and always wanted to work on his number puzzle. He really leads the way in our learning. Since he was showing interest, I knew it was time to create a few fun and engaging learning activities. My Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 0-10 includes activities that give my toddler opportunities to recognize numbers, write numbers, and count.
Set Up
Before I walk you through the resource, let me mention a few things about set-up.
Let's start with printing. I own a color laser printer, so I print from home. If you don't own a printer, I think it's a great investment! However, always do what is best for your family! If you are looking for a reasonable printing company, I recommend The Homeschool Printing Company. I have yet to find a company with better pricing!
I chose to laminate most of the pages in this resource. I adore laminated pages because they are sturdy and essentially toddler-proof. If you want your pages to be laminated, I would recommend purchasing a personal laminator and laminating pouches. I do NOT recommend paying a company to laminate this resource because it is typically extremely expensive. However, if you decide to not laminate the resource, I'll give some tips and tricks as we chat through the resource!
If you head over to my Instagram highlights (@francieoutlaw) you can view the highlights titled "Setting Up a Resource" & "Laminating" for more information about set-up.

About the Resource
Numbers 0-10
In the first section of this resource, your child will learn to recognize, trace, and write the numbers 0-10. Depending on your child's age, you can model how to trace the number with your finger or trace the number with a writing utensil.
I chose to laminate these pages just because I love laminated pages. My toddler is able to easily turn the pages without any risk of tearing. However, if you don't want to laminate, this section is a perfect candidate for just printing, hole punching, and placing in a binder. When you're ready to use a page, your child can write directly on the pages. However, if you’d like the pages to be reusable, you can slip the page into a dry erase pouch and have your child trace and write using a dry erase marker. Dry erase markers can often stain the lamination, so I always place our laminated pages into a dry erase pouch when my toddler writes with a dry erase marker.
All About the Numbers
All About the Numbers includes an activity page for each number 0 through 10. Your child will have the opportunity to trace the number and number word. There is also a space to practice writing the number. The other 3 spaces are all about counting and learning 1-1 correspondence. Your child will mark how many, color how many, and draw how many.
I laminated these pages, but just like the Numbers 0-10 section, you do not have to! Dry erase pouches are your best friend. While dry erase markers in the hands of a toddler might make you a little nervous, it's a great opportunity to teach some responsibility and self-control!
Number Activities
This section of the resource contains 65 pages of activities for your toddler to practice 1-1 correspondence and number recognition. We love using dot stickers, dot markers, dry erase pouches, dry erase markers, crayons, counters, etc. as we learn using these activities. Here’s a peek into our learning:
Number Matching
If you've been around for any length of time, you probably know we're obsessed with matching. I created 8 matching pages. One has the numbers 1-10 in order, and another has the numbers 1-10 out of order. There are 3 picture matching pages and 3 ten-frame matching pages. I highly recommend laminating these pages and using velcro to secure the matching pieces.
Toddler Number Resource: Numbers 0-10 Skills
At the end of this resource, I have included a check-list of skills. This check-list is helpful in recognizing what my toddler already knows and planning the skills we can focus on next. However, my greatest desire is for your learning with your toddler to be fun! So, don’t take this check-list too seriously. Simply use it as a guide! Always remember, it’s not about the skills. It’s about these moments of connecting with your child through playful learning!
I hope you and your toddler enjoy this resource as much as we do! I would love for you to rate it on Teachers Pay Teachers! Feel free to send me a DM through Instagram @francieoutlaw or an email to heyfrancieoutlaw@gmail.com if you have any questions. Happy teaching and happy learning!
